Frosty Gator

My first time here since visiting and the customer service was awesome. Big portion of food and the spinach artichoke was delicious and hot. Food was prepared by order which I love and very hot when it came out. Drinks were great too.

Casual bar restaurant environment. The waitresses were super nice and helpful. We wanted to try steak fingers cuz we heard that was an Idaho thing. They came with a variety of sauces but we liked the regular fry sauce the best. Got a huge basket of skin on fries with it.

We ate here over the past weekend and absolutely loved it. The Frosty Gator has some of the best appetizers around. We ordered only appetizers and were very impressed and very much full. We ordered the Idaho Nachos, the Gator Super Jumbo Wings, and the Beer Battered Mushrooms. The Idahos Nachos is a platter with sidewinder fries with a lot of cheese, beans, olives, tomato, jalapeños, the whole deal. It’s a good addition to any order. The portion size is large.The Gator Super Jumbo Wings were amazing. The wings weren’t exactly “jumbo” sized in my opinion, but you get a dozen with a full order. So you’ll have “plenty on your plate.” The wings come with blue cheese dressing or ranch dressing with celery and carrots, while on a bed of lettuce. I don’t even like blue cheese dressing, but I enjoyed this. I was even dipping my beer-battered mushrooms in the dressing. We got the medium flavor on our wings. This sauce is a unique flavor, almost too much of a vinegar flavored. But we just couldn’t help, but keep dipping wing after wing in the blue cheese. The combination was absolutely amazing. Our waitress said that she enjoys getting the hot and Bourbon BBQ glaze flavors for her wings, so we are looking forward to coming back and trying that combination. You must try an order of wings here.The beer-battered mushrooms are hands down the best mushrooms in IF. I would reckon they were the best I’ve ever had. The the breading is delicious and the seasonings are so good. If you aren’t too keen of seasoning, then this may be a dish you skip because these mushrooms are well seasoned. The mushrooms come with a cup of ranch, another amazing combination. There is a lot of breading on the mushrooms, but that just means there is more to eat. The service is amazing here, one of the best in all of town. You’d be hard pressed to find better service, and we went during dinner hours on a Friday. The deep fried alligator appetizer wasn’t available due to supply shortages. But hopefully back on the menu in a month or two. Parking is on the east side of the restaurant. We are already planning on coming back and thinking about the dishes we will try then. I highly recommend the Frosty Gator.

My last day visiting friends in Idaho they graciously took me to this local spot. I asked for recommendations and they (my friends) suggested trying gator chips with anything I ordered. I opted for a pepper jack grilled cheese sandwich and gator chips. Both the chips (thick kettle style potato chips) and the sandwich were delicious. I asked for a side of ranch to go with the chips and that made it superb. A nice last stop before flying home from my wonderful trip to Idaho.

Love their fish tacos, it was suggested to try them deep fried, and it was absolutely delicious, better than I've ever had before

This place was amazing. Our server was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was perfect and the gator was amazing. We traveled 113 miles one way just to eat here and we weren't disappointed. Prices were a bit high but loved it

Service was excellent, Messina took really good care of us. The fried mushrooms were probably the best in town. I personally had the Philly cheese steak and the gator bites, good food, good service. Stop on by

Great food friendly staff and the service was great. Lots of menu items, so whatever you're in the mood for, it'll be good.
